Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescription requests will cannot be requested via telephone calls to reception. Do not wait until you have run out to request your repeat medications
Please request you repeat prescripts in the following ways;
1.Via your nominated pharmacy or dropping request into the Practice Reception
2.Via our Patient contact us portal click here
3.Via airmid/systm1 online click here
4. Via the NHS app (our recommended way)
TO REDUCE WASTE PLEASE ONLY
- Check what medicines you already have before re-ordering
- Remember don't tick it if you don't need it! It will not disappear from your repeats list if you don't order it
- Having regular discussions with your Pharmacist and GP will mean your medication is kept up to date
- When you contact your nominated Pharmacist please ensure they only order what you need
- Check your prescription bag when you collect it from the Pharmacy, return anything to the pharmacist that you did not order
- Please check you re-order dates before submitting a request, if an item is not due for re-order we will not be able to process the request
- Please ensure you order your repeat prescription in advance so you do not run out of medication, it can take up to 3 working days to process requests so please plan to order in advance. Ensure you take responsibility to ensure you do not run out of prescription medication
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
